Artefact Magazine: Reviews

Lil' Wayne // Chance the Rapper // Stormzy

During my time creating content for Artefact Magazine I wrote three reviews, on a journal, a concert and an album.

I read Lil’ Wayne’s prison journal that he had published in 2016, ‘Gone ‘Til November.’

I usually hate reading books, but of course I had to make an exception for this one. I loved it, it was such an easy read, I read the whole book within 2-3 days.

It was all about his time at Rikers Island, what happened while he was there, how he felt and what he did to make the time go faster.

I reviewed a Chance the Rapper: Coloring Book show that I attended back in 2016 and I explained how amazing I thought it was, I’d never been to a rap concert that left me thinking about God after I’d left.

The last review that I wrote was very last minute, written one week before my deadline.

I reviewed Stormzy’s first debut album, ‘Gang Signs and Prayer.’ When this album was released, it broke the internet. The south London MC took the U.K. by storm when his album was titled number 1 in the country.

Listening to this album had such an effect on me, I had to write a small review on it.
