First of all, before I bought these kicks I’d wanted them for a really long time.
When I finally got them, I made sure I found the perfect fit to wear them with before wearing them in public.
I soon realised that Air Force 1 Hi were not the kick for me.
Part of the Nike ‘Flax’ collection this AF1 Hi features suede uppers accompanied by a rubber outsole and a padded collar, creating (what you’d think would be) a comfy, luxurious sneaker.
The Flax/Gum colour-way also features a support ankle strap, keeping all the classics that come from AF1’s.
The wheat inspired colour-way is fully crafted with all waterproof materials, so it suits all weather types.
Now that the boring information is out the way, let me explain how much I despise these trainers…
I’m not one for high-top trainers, I’ve always preferred the lower cut trainers because I like to bang 2,2 ankle in my outfits. But, I thought the colour-way is nice so- why not?
I still think that the colour-way is nice, but the comfort of the shoe? it’s not nice, it’s rude.
I got blisters from these trainers, my skin actually peeled away from the back of my ankles. So, I applied plasters and brought longer, thicker socks and the backs of the trainers still rubbed my skin off. Then I put Vaseline on the trainers over-night and it still didn’t work.
I’m not sure if it’s high-top kicks that are the problem or the hard material that Nike decided to use for these shoes. Either way, I don’t fuck with it.
Until next time.
