Inspirational Women P2: My Chargie

LISTEN

I don’t even know where to begin with this blog.

So, my best friend, she’s called Erolet.

If you have me on socials you already know about her, shes ALWAYS on my Snapchat story or part of every conversation I have… and to all the mandem I’ve ever associated with or ever will associate with in the future, she’s part of the package too.

We’ve known each other since 2007, we befriended each other in 2009 (during Mrs. Yadav, Science class) and when I tell you we’ve been inseparable since, I’m not exaggerating.

Although when I say inseparable I don’t mean we’re joint at the hip because I don’t like her like dat (and that’s SO moist) but I genuinely feel like she’s part of my soul.

Have you ever had a friendship so strong that they probably know you more about you than you know yourself? That’s the part Erolet plays in my life.

*Wow, I almost called her a cow then for knowing me more than I know myself but I resisted because I’m trying to be nice, with it being Valentines Day and all.*

We’ve been through a lot together, break-ups, make-ups, losing v-cards and faking body count numbers.

I wouldn’t have wanted to go through any of that with anyone else except the loml.

But, I don’t want to talk about all that, this blog is about why Erolet is the other inspirational woman in my life.

While carrying burdens of her own she never fails to carry mine too, she’s literally just a WhatsApp message away if I ever need her (because Lord knows I’ll bang her in her face if she isn’t).

Without my best friend, I wouldn’t have been able to get through many obstacles in my life such as uni, graduation, whenever I beef anyone in my family, when mandem move mad, the passing of my brother and so many other things.

I’m actually so blessed to be surrounded by VERY strong female role-models on a day-to-day basis.

Whenever I’ve felt sad about rejections or shit life’s thrown at me, Erolet has always been there to remind me what the silver lining was or told me to “man the fuck up.” You really need that, sometimes.

A note to Erolet
Thank you for being you.

I applaud you for all of life’s obstacles you’ve gotten through, I’m really looking forward to growing old and grey with you and being part of all the fuckeries we’ll 100% be going through together, in the near and far future.

I’d like you to understand how important your presence is in my life and the important role you play in keeping me in my lane and grounded.

Every time you think life is caving in on you, remember all the amazing thing’s you’ve overcom and how you’re strong-minded with the capacity to get through everything and anything you choose to.

Thank you again for being you, the most amazing, baddest, funniest, not-that-moistest, dickhead woman I know.

Love you long time.
